Ain't that the truth. Here I'm bundled up in the morning when it dips below 70 and I have to walk the dog.

To the original question, I will be applying for citizenship in a couple of years, just so I don't have to put up with any more immigration BS. I'll always be a Brit though.

Thats what I'm thinking. I just need to stop being so stubborn on learning all the stuff for the test. A brit who just happens to have 2 passports

I have a personal preference for semi-autos in 9mm hence then khar, even if its only 5+1, but the little S+W is great if you are wearing minimalist clothing. As is often the case in SE FlA

Oh and a decent folding knife. Very handy. Never leave home without it.

I have several others but they arent general carry items.
Florida sounds.......ummmm, what's the word I'm looking for

Apologies if this has been done to death - I guess I'm the new guy (even though I apperently joined in 2002 and promptly forgot about it!).

I know this is awfull but when I was growing up in the UK I used to watch the olympics and wanted the yanks to lose in every event.....I always liked the underdog.....anyway been here 20 yrs and still to this day want the yanks to lose lol.....nothing against the USA or americans just the way it was growing up and it stuck

So here's my question for you and Ray: Why? Why do you carry all this weaponry? I understand that it's your right, but what is your personal reasoning behind choosing to do so?

And no, I don't mean to imply any criticism or judgement. I'm genuinely interested.

I dont carry all the weaponry at once! I always have my folding knife on me as its very useful for all sorts of non-violent things.

As for concealed handgun carry. Its just personal choice. Im not expecting trouble around every corner. Equally the trouble (if it appears) doesnt have to be human in form. We do have a lot of wild animals round here who will soon as not chew yer leg off as look at you.

The northern extent of the everglades abut my subdivision. Take your pick of wild and evil animal. Its not unsual to find a gator in the canal out the back, or any number of nasty not so little evil scavengers roaming round. Hogs are quite common.
