Once an Brit...
I assume 90% of us here are British expats, right? So, have everyone decided to get US citizenship? Is that a practicality thing? Whatever I do here, I will always be British. Do you all feel the same?
Apologies if this has been done to death - I guess I'm the new guy (even though I apperently joined in 2002 and promptly forgot about it!).

GC Holder. Contemplate citizenship for the kids. Other than that I have no intention of spending the rest of my life here so no need.

There are only a few things you cant do as a GC holder and I'm not particularly bothered about them
You can't vote
You can't sit on a jury

I was up for doing the natz process but, now we've decided to move back to the UK next year, I won't be here long enough, (having said that I'll be here long enough to pay more fees to the USCIS when I apply to remove conditions next March)!

I think your kin get done for more taxes on death if you are not a US citizen and were still living here at that time. Personally I wil go for dual citizenship although the nearest I can see that happening is 4 yrs away so if I am still alive and kicking........
