It just feels 'right' to be back!!!
Just out of interest, what did Tel8 say?

Don't get me started on the fact that my parents are driving me absolutely up the wall. It's tough being back in the same house, and giving up my independence to do it.
those few things alone will do it every time

So nice to read. I have been 18 years in the us and would have gone back sooner had my mum not had a breakdown every time I mentioned returning. My son is now almost 12 and we just can't leave it any longer. Our move date is planned for June 2015. We too will have to come back often to visit family who are all staying here. Funny your comment about your mum should have been born American...I feel the same about both my parents and my brother. they love it here. Me..never have settled. Always yearned for home. Feels good to have made a decision to go and just wish it didn't take so long to save save save to make it happen. Good luck

Responding to your question of what Tel8 said, if memory serves me correctly she missed the friendliness of the UK, always felt as though something was missing in her life living in US...just a few of the things that struck a chord in me. I wish I could find the post I read. I'll have another look!
