You clearly (a) haven't read the Wiki as requested by several on here; (b) done any research at all about the E2 visa on the net; or (c) listened to any of the advice from senior members on here who have years of experience. Smart.

If you have half a mill to invest, then you're looking at the EB5 - which does lead to permanent residency. Less than that and it's the E2, just read up on it and you'll soon find it doesn't lead to a greencard.

The people at the embassy are just paid call staff and have no immigration knowledge other than that which is written on a piece of paper in front of them. But hey, if you want to believe that instead of bothering to research it yourself and hire an immigration lawyer, then good luck to you. You'll certainly need it!

just because you have or do live there doesnt mean you know everything about it and the wiki is something that as been wrote just like someone as on a piece of paper as you said.:p

Twins separated at the sweaty feet. :)

If I had a cool mil burning a hole in my pocket, I'd make sure I bragged about it to all the strangers I met on the internet. But that's me.

I've not read the whole of this thread yet, so maybe someone else has said the same thing but here goes.....

If people want to hear what they want to hear ie. "Oh yes, stick around and we'll all help you any way we can......where there's a will there's a way......yep, life's great here.......yep, we'll help you with your E2 visa......"

blah, blah, blah......then try that other forum, the one dedicated to E2'ers, the one where they talk a load of shite and ban people if they dare to speak up and disagree with their stupid two-faced comments.......

Ah, there......I feel better now ;)

1) Embassies are notorious for giving wrong information

2) the USCIS changes their rules more often than I change my shirt.

3) one call to the embassy does not make you an expert.

4) the E visa for which they talk of is not good. If you have children at age 21 they have to leave the country, they have no right to be here, if your company goes bankrupt you have to leave, if you retire you have to leave.......

5) E visa's break more people than make them........ lets say you have the required money........ buy a business. What's stopping the old owner of the business setting up again right next door to you taking all his old clients with him?

6) you still don't really know what you're doing here........

Seriously, if you can make it to the USA, sure come along, have a slice of the pie. I still don't think you've got a chance.

It's no good convincing us............ we don't stamp your passport.

you were asking us crap like house tax and health insurance.

it all boils down to the visa, which is what was said on page 1.

that hasn't changed.

it's still all about getting here............

sweat the small stuff later on.

No-one will begrudge you getting here if you can.

But nothing has changed our minds to think you can actually achieve that.
