And you do realise that the E2 comes with zero chance of permanent residency, don't you? After all, you *did* read the Wiki............ right? |

oooh well in that case........
I pay $1300 a year property tax and my health insurance is $19.90 a week. Prices can vary wildly. If the OP is coming over to start a business, he'll be paying twice as much in insurance as most of us. |

At this juncture is it terribly inappropriate if I call him a tit?

Re: moving to usa
Embassy and giving of good advice, there's always a first I suppose.
That's what immigration lawyers are for. Still, OP hasn't said if he's in a $1M+ business or not and what the family situation is. For a young, single person, with no plans on the long term staying in the US, E2 would do the trick, anyone else, it would be daft to get. Meh. Who cares at this point. |

unless you have invest and you know about it. You clearly (a) haven't read the Wiki as requested by several on here; (b) done any research at all about the E2 visa on the net; or (c) listened to any of the advice from senior members on here who have years of experience. Smart. If you have half a mill to invest, then you're looking at the EB5 - which does lead to permanent residency. Less than that and it's the E2, just read up on it and you'll soon find it doesn't lead to a greencard. The people at the embassy are just paid call staff and have no immigration knowledge other than that which is written on a piece of paper in front of them. But hey, if you want to believe that instead of bothering to research it yourself and hire an immigration lawyer, then good luck to you. You'll certainly need it! |
