Why is it that people across the world "AmericaniZe" and no American takes offens/ce, they think it's cute or democratic or some such nonsense, but if a Yank takes on the British way of writing/saying/doing things, it's somehow weird to Brits?
Personally I'd go for a unified English but I think both sides would fight to the death over colo(u)r.
