(2) The card may expire but your status does not (unless you have done something to lose said status, like stay out of the country too long and not maintain a residence here)

Hi y'all
new member here, got my GC last year, then promptly toasted it in a fire( not on purpose)
Now awaiting my Bio appt,
I know about the USA>leaving restrictions, but I shouldn't have too much grief travellin State>State

should I............................

Picky, picky I meant PERMINENT RESIDENCY. Yes I know but I can't think of a reason I need to become a citizen. I have no children. If there is a reason, I would like to know as I would take out dual passports if I need to, been here over 30 years!!! I just renewed my green card for $260 or whatever it was. At least this time I was out in 15 minutes , photographed, fingerprinted and card in hand. The first time we waited on line 2 DAYS!!!!!!!! I had to take two days off work, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I had to whip it out for the plane to California last week. I believe they said I could use a passport though. I don't have a driver's licence or any other official card

Do you have assets which you would like to leave to someone other than the IRS...

No real estate Elvira, just jewellery and my 401k (now rolled over into something as I wanted some of it out)
