(2) The card may expire but your status does not (unless you have done something to lose said status, like stay out of the country too long and not maintain a residence here)
(3) Why not bite the bullet and file your N-400...

Hi y'all
new member here, got my GC last year, then promptly toasted it in a fire( not on purpose)
Now awaiting my Bio appt,
I know about the USA>leaving restrictions, but I shouldn't have too much grief travellin State>State

I meant PERMINENT RESIDENCY. Yes I know but I can't think of a reason I need to become a citizen. I have no children. If there is a reason, I would like to know as I would take out dual passports if I need to, been here over 30 years!!!
I just renewed my green card for $260 or whatever it was. At least this time I was out in 15 minutes , photographed, fingerprinted and card in hand. The first time we waited on line 2 DAYS!!!!!!!! I had to take two days off work, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
