Long shot request to anyone in Syracuse
#1
A lady I know has written books on Sears kit homes and one of the rarest is the Magnolia model. She has information that there may be one at 1500 James Street in Syracuse. If there is anyone on here who might live near there and they could take pictures of the front and sides in as much detail as possible without getting arrested she would love to have them. We are in Virginia so it's a bit of a drive.
Like I said, a long shot.

I looked at the Zillow record, and the photo of the house at 1500 James St. definitely looks like the Magnolia. (The image is from the back, but you can see the distinctive two storey front porch and some other features..)

My friend's daughter is in Syracuse. Will ask her via facebook if it is close to her.

Rose said she looked at it on google too. It does look like it but Sears built houses in the popular styles of the day so many other homes also look like Sears homes if that makes sense. What she needs to see if she can is window placemant on the sides to help identify it. She only knows of 6 others so this would be quite a find if it can be confirmed..

1500 James Street Syracuse NY
This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home has 1,732 square feet and was built in 1980.
And yet, Zillow has it listed for $237,000 and dates it at 1905
