I live near the Redbrick Mill in Yorkshire and they have a little sweet stall that sells all the good stuff to weigh out.....you know out of those glass jars with lids.......my sons eyes light up when ever we go there.......ahhhhh to be 6 again

I've remembered one type of candy that I used to buy, that I'm sure must have been banned from sale many years ago .... anyone remember candy cigarettes? White candy sticks with coloured ends, so as a kid you could pretend you were smoking just like your mum or dad? How times have changed eh!

Toffee bon bons were my favourite ... also loved chewing nuts, cola cubes, curly wurlys and rhubarb & custard.

As an adult ... adored Cadbury's Boost, but only the one with toasted coconut. Sadly, it was a bad seller and they stopped making it - which probably saved me from a lifetime of obesity, I could scoff four of those at a time!

its quite outragous really that they ever got away with selling those things though, can you remember the tobacco you used to be able to buy as well, can't remember what it was called but it was delicious..
my favourite of all time though were Cabana bars, they had cherries in, fab..

Oh yes Tobacco in a red packet, it was like coconut bit's coverd in brown sugar "lovely stuff". Group of us about 8 year old's bought those joke cigarttes they had powder in them looked so real, walked around the town pretending to smoke.
