Yes i Have a Kid he lives with his mother and as for work i was a glassblower but i am now mid way into my Paramedic training, Like i keep saying i never asked for anything all i wanted was advice, i took the advice and had a interview with BBC Radio Leeds they have been in contact with BA Homeland security and The Embassy.

Each telling them exactly what i told you all here, i didnt want or need the abuse but such is life.

But i dont see why te need to bring my kid or copy posts of my blog on here what point is that going to make?

All i wanted was some advice yet you open up on me, what do you do if someone gets hit by a car as your walking past? moan at them for making a mess?

Unfortunately you've been at the butt end of the boy that cried wolf...

There are soooooooo many people that post on forums like this with what could be perceived as 'sob stories' and then when forum members dig deeper it turns out to be BS, that when a genuine one comes along, its hard to spot.

There were a lot of people who offered help and advice throughout the thread, but of course the more senior, experienced members, who have seen more than their fair share of BS, were cynical.

Its the nature of the beast I'm afraid. Just Like all of us who have gone through hell and back and been apart from loved ones to get legitimate visas get pissed off at those who try find any loophole they can, the members on the forum who have seen excuse after excuse from people that 'cant get home' for whatever reason will now call you out if things do seem too extreme to be true.

Have a safe trip home, Glad you got it sorted out.

Hey, make sure you come back and post a link to any news articles written about your situation, or any taped interviews.

Good luck!

There is no excuse for this in my opinion. I don't give a toss if someone disagrees, argues or abuses me but they had better leave my family alone :sneaky:

I agree people do use things like this to try and get money off people all i want to do is go home if someone had offered to get me a ticket i would have said no, i make my own way in the world, pay my bills earn my wage and spend my money.

I just happen to be stuck, i have maybe 50 pounds in the uk enough till i can get some work done i dont have the network of family and friends to fall back on i wish i did.

As far as i know the recording of the interview i did today will play monday morning on BBC radio Leeds i also think they want to do a live interview with me, something i dont really want to have to do but needs must at the moment.

So thank you all for the help i was offered

i hope you all have a happy christmas and when i do get back to the uk i will post on here to let you know

I dont know when that will be but things are moving now and that can only be a good thing.

Bollocks - busy week at work and House is on so can't be arsed reading 19 pages. Can anyone summarize in 5 words or less? (I'll read it in one of the 57 ad breaks..)

bloke got stuck in the US after a dodgy fall...asked for help, got ridiculed as people thought he was taking the piss...took the advice, and now got a radio station to sort out his return, all is well in the world again :)

Well hopefully this story will now have a happy ending. I thought from the begining it had a ring of truth about it. I've been in a similar position myself and even with a commercial pilot license and company ID, BA wouldn't let me fly back to UK. They can be very snotty at times.

Says you!

Post full scans of your commercial pilot's license and company ID, and perhaps we'll believe you.
