I may give this english pork pie company a try one day.

At the moment we use britishbacon.com They use the the Wiltshire cure method in preparing their pork. Its tastes great. Also there sample or gift packages have a good variety. We get the new store package at Christmas time sausage, bacon, sausage rolls and pork pies the lot.

The Wiltshire cure gammon ham is normally a treat we have during the year at some point.

I wonder has anyone here in Arizona tried http://site.themeatshopaz.com/Menu.html? I see they do English bangers

Eagerly awaiting the review...if they're anything like Melton Mowbray pork-pies I'm in!

I have just finished one of the classic pork pies. Very little jelly in the pie. It was as good as any I had while I was back in England beginning of June. Pastry was firm but not dry. Certainly I can recommend them and I am going to be buying again, and trying out some of the other pies they do, one of which is Melton Mowbray pork pies.

They arrived in a polystyrene cooler box, which itself was inside a cardboard shipping box. Several reusable ice packs in the box. I ordered pies and sausages and all arrived in good condition, cold and no concerns about any possible deterioration in shipping. The cooler box and ice packs can be use again if you wanted to.

Ooh have wanted to try this companies stuff for a while. Do let us all know if they're close to the real deal. I have read several reviews that raved about them but been wary of the shipping meat thing.

They are not close to the real deal, they are the real deal. Authentic in every way.

I hope you're getting commission because I think you've probably just generated a decent amount of business for them!!

I have been considering ordering something from them for a while. Be good to hear what there stuff is like from you rather than reading the reviews on their website.

Having tasted the pork pies I can vouch for the authenticity of the reviews on their web site. They are everything they are cracked up to be.

What is the difference between a Melton Mowbray pie and a Traditional pie and a Yorkshire pie?

My Dad is from that part of the country and according to him Melton Mowbray pies are much superior to all the others...something about the crust never going soggy. They're made to a very traditional recipe and are yummy. Can't believe I'm salivating as I wrote this. I'm going to check out this website!

I'll be putting in an order too, pork pie is the one thing you really can't replicate in the states.
Even my 14 year old daughter fell in love with pork pie last month, magic...
