I'm in the Jacksonville area, or to be more specific, St Augustine 20 miles or so south. It's great here, it definitely does not have a big city feeling, but lots of history and things to do. The city center is nothing like the rest of Florida and looks more mediteranian in style thanks to the Spanish.

Hi
well Im on the east coast in Port Orange, just 10 mins away from Daytona beach.
Port Orange is lovely, clean, very little crime, property isnt too expensive, and would probably make a very good investment.
I live 10 mins from the nearest beach, Daytona beach shores, and I really find it an ideal location, coz we are near to all the local amenities that a larger town offers.
Plus, its ony about an hour away from Orlando, so its handy for family visiting.!
Thats my sell!
any more questions, just ask!

From: Panhandle Florida

Hi,
I live in the far north west of florida near Destin in the panhandle. It is so beautiful here and the gulf coast is fantastic. Actually the beaches are some of the best in USA, I think on a programme we watched it was No 2 or 3 at Panama city which is nearby.
I would recommend it as someone from tallahassee mentioned we have seasons here so winter is cool but summer is the same as the south. We were still swimming in the sea last Nov here. I only moved here in Oct last year and still miss UK but can't think of a nicer area to live.

Thank you so much everyone!!! I really appreciate the opinions.
We have narrowed down our choices a bit and are starting to look into things a bit deeper.
Does anyone know of a website where up-to-date information on unemployment/employment statistics for cities in Florida can be found?
Thanks.
