Does state ID have address on?
I was going to go get my state ID today, but am moving on monday and dont yet have anything that shows my name and new address.
Does it have your current address on it, or is it just name and photo???

Dont you have your name on the rental contract of your new address? That should be sufficient prove that your are a Georgia resident.

This is what is on the ID Card. It looks just like the drivers license except there is an identifier on it that indicates that it's only an ID.

On the Direct TV thing, don't bother. You've just arrived in a new country and there are lots of things to do like, for example, learning to drive. There's absolutely nothing worth watching on American TV anyway, be it cable, satellite or the rabbit ears.

Direct TV is doing a good thing in protecting you by asking for a picture ID.

Identity theft. If she holds proper ID, not faked, then it protects her and the company. She could be using someone else's ID and credit card to establish an account for free service. It's rampant in case you didn't know.
