They'll sneak in and do a bit of 'breeding' though

Dh is sick right now, and you know men so in his dramatic voice said I should end it and do something useful with him, like in the Soylent green movie, he does hate waste.

I don't think it's all that bad. My relatives are pretty well-cared for.

I'm really not talking about how well they are cared for. Although in saying that, I don't think my elderly grandmother does without. My point was that society forgets about the elderly. There are plenty of old age homes that can attest to that.

I think it does vary depending on which 'society' you're talking about, some cultures are better than others in that regard.

Old people actually have quite a lot of political muscle in Britain and the US now.

Our 4th child miscarried and that cost us $40,000, to scrape the inside of my wife's uterus. (sick - Even death is sold at a premium).... Jeeze. That sounds like an awful insurance policy. Even the cheap and cheerful BCBS policy I have seems to limit the amount I would have to fork out for maternity expenses - which is probably a good thing as I am a bloke and if I gave birth in some freak genetic accident it would be something akin to the chest bursting scene from Alien.

Wait till you have been here for a while, when the honeymoon is over then let us know... Don't get me wrong, I love it here too but the grass is not always greener and the streets are not paved with gold.
