Just out of interest how many times has your time on a plane been interupted by screaming kids..I've flown across the atlantic 10 times in the last 20 months and not once have I had to listen to screaming kids, (and before anyone says anything, I only sat up front twice) I've heard babies cry for a few minutes but no screaming, you've obviously been very unlucky..

I flew Johannesburg, Heathrow, JFK, FL, a few years ago, by myself with my brood when they were 'babies' and the BA staff were absolutely bloody marvellous. Really going out of their way to help the parents - walking babies to sleep..etc...

I would take all 3 of them with me, sod the miseries.

3 out of my last 5 flights - and yes I am unlucky.
My flight home at christmas was a barrel of laughs sitting beside a 9 and 7-ish year old brother and sister beating the seven bells out of eachother for 4 hours whilst the parents did nothing.
I then pretended to go to sleep for 5 minutes and pretended to wake up shouting "For f**ks sake". That and a death stare seemed to get their attention and I was able to grab 45 minutes shut eye.
Perhaps you can now retract your

I have flown transatlantic 5 or 6 times last year and loads internally and cant remember any distractions due to babies - one particularly smelly man - but no babies!!
