I once read that the most venomus spider is in fact the Daddy Longlegs but it's jaws are so small it can't bit a human.

Some substances that would be lethal in your blood stream aren't able to get into the blood if ingested.

I think it has that reputation because it can kill the Sydney funnel-web, the most lethal spider on the planet. I don't think anyone has ever actually extracted Daddy Longlegs venom and tested this though. Having said that I also read that some mammels (such as dogs) are immune from Sydney funnel-web venom, or at least don't suffer as much as humans do, so the same could be true of the Daddy Longlegs.

Yeh, thats true, I stamp on the buggers every time I see them, they look extra big here in Oz.... :eek:
