19 hours @ 10 bucks/hour = 190 bucks. Not a great rate of pay.....but considering you aren't expected to actually do anything, not too bad either.

NO, the whole thing has gone completely out of hand.

Apologies to any of you who enjoy the sport, but it's like comparing golf to bullfighting ... give me the good old days any day.

Went back and had another look at sale paper (I'm brain dead from looking), and you're right, it's not Lowes that sell LG, it's Home Depot. Price was $499 each, same as you were quoted. So I think you got a good deal!

All the extra trailer loads of merchandise going to the Wall Mart stores for black friday used to be called 'blitz trailers' because there were so many at one time, this year was different though. Now they are called 'the event trailers', no explenation for the name change was given.

Haha, The Event is what Wal Mart employees have to call Black Friday. DH says everything communicated to him from management was using the phrase The Event.

My husband did quite well on Amazon. I do like the fact that they have free shipping on several items. The shipping costs can really add up!

We got in on a couple of the Amazon deals - like the 19" TV for $98, but decided we didn't need them and let them lapse. Didn't buy anything in the end.

Incidentally, SWMBO says it's still going on - apparently today is "Target Tuesday" or some such...

Yeah, this ones a good example of how those deals are over hyped.

It's billed as 50% off the "list price" of $400, but really it's only $30 off the normal selling price of $230.
