I still haven’t heard anything. I checked my case today and it was last updated on the 15th August 2024.
My refusal was based on a conviction which was over 10 years ago now. But I also think they queried my mental health due to disclosing a mental health condition, that also had to be disclosed, but the medical board said they had no concerns.
I am slightly worried as the dates I put on my initial DS160 have now passed. The dates would have been over the initial 9 month waiting time. But they have now passed.
When I had the meeting I was only there a couple of minutes but I showed proof of a family holiday, flight tickets (which where flexible dates, so I was able to change the dates) as well as proof of employment etc.
After the meeting I had, I got called and asked to return as the officer forgot to scan something and her manager was helping, and they said, this step would speed the process - not sure what part it helped….
but I am just waiting now :/ I am not holding hope, based on the fact the initial dates have passed on the DS160, bit who knows.

Lurked for a few weeks while finding my feet. Can I be added to the spreadsheet ?
father had his interview in London 6th September 2024. Not his first waiver - we’ve been traveling to the states since the 90’s
this is by far the longest time we’ve waited. Were due to travel on 2nd August - obviously unlikely now and sad we’ll have to go without him. just frustrating given the process began in March 2024.

Excluding any changes in policy, think very late July early August before us 6ers get an email, at the moment I'm thinking later the better as maybe it means they looked at it, but logic goes out the window. Hopefully things change and you get a quicker email with a decent travel history.

Welcome @Tody10, great that you found us here. I have added your date to our tracker sheet, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?gid=0#gid=0
Out of interest, how long did the consulate letter saying that they would recommend you for a waiver suggest the process would take. Our forum members are currently seeing wait times of approximately 11 months for those who applied in July 2024.
All the best for your wait, and keep us posted.

Sadly we may never know whether @jackotekk received their passport back with a visa or not. I have sent a personal message a few times with no response, so all we know for sure is that they got the email to send their passport in. Hence we assume waiver granted, but no idea if visa subsequently issued or not.
If you are still here jackotekk , do let us know...

Due to business travel commitments I had to request withdrawal of my passport from the embassy. When I picked it up, unfortunately it came with a notice that a VISA could not be issued at this time and that I have to restart the process if I want a VISA. For those conisdering this due to similar reasons, it may be useful to know that I received the email that passport was available to pick up 2 working days after making the withdrawal request.
I assume they took the opportunity to quickly clear out the backlog but it's possible that it was part of the processing - although I doubt it's the case due to the timing with the withdrawal request and having had a VISA issued previously. I've since learnt about second passports which I will be sure to have the next time I apply.
For record completeness: I made the withdrawl request on June 12th (7 weeks after dropping my passport off for visa issuance) and received the passport back on the 16th June (No VISA issued)

You're currently on 280 days. Most recent London result was 342 days, with the 1 year rolling avg at 321. So you have some time to go still unfortunately. Also note that the limited data we do have shows an increase in rejections for both waivers AND visas, even when the waiver is granted.
All the best
