Re: WTF in America
Texas yet again, Starr County Sheriff arrested Lizelle Herrera, for murder, after she had a miscarriage in hospital, .medical staff reported her to the police.
Still not a lot of information about this, but from what is known, it's very much WTF.

"Guns overtook car crashes to become the leading cause of death for US children and teenagers in 2020, new research shows.Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that over 4,300 young Americans died of firearm-related injuries in 2020.
While suicides contributed to the toll, the data shows that homicides form the majority of gun-related deaths.
More than 390 million guns are owned by US civilians."

It's not going that well, is it.

There are a lot of reasons why we are moving away and people that act like this are one of them

It's certainly a terrible tragedy to see such a wonderful creature die, but trying to push the dolphin back into the water does seem like a logical thing to try to do, so that part doesn't seem bad. According to the article, you should NOT try to do that - just leave it alone and call for help, but the instinct to push back into the water seems innocent enough (that thought would certainly cross my mind). Trying to ride on it - that's f**ing mental.

We stopped going when a gas company built a huge plant right in front of it

This beach is also a nature park and there are signs all over about finding animals/ mammals in distress and who to contact. It used to be a great place to fish or just enjoy a day out until it turned into a party beach a few years back.

Actually most of the gulf coast have plants and refineries along the coast. It's not pretty. We usually walk along the quieter beaches without the ugly views

OK this is really WTF in Israel. But, it’s about an American family, so the stupid is from the US.
I mean, I wouldn’t pick up an unexploded shell. But if I did, I wouldn’t pack it in my luggage. And if I did pack it in my luggage, I wouldn’t attempt to board a flight. And if I did attempt to board a flight with it, I wouldn’t do it in Israel.

Here’s an everyday story of country folk, just a few miles from my home in fact.

Paoli had suffered multiple stab wounds. According to court records reviewed by the Watertown Daily Times, Dibella allegedly stabbed Paoli with a bayonet blade and an awl, a pointed woodworking tool. Dibella told police his sister was getting in the way of his communication with God and that he was “done with her witchcraft,” according to the Times. Dibella has been charged with second-degree murder
