Re: The Worst President in History?
What is it that GW Bush has done to seriously mark him as the "Worst President in History"? Being unpopular during part of his Presidency is not enough. The economy is doing well, he got two U.S. Supreme Court Justices to the bench, and he is in the process of placing his pick of judges for the Federal circuits. There have been no serious attacks on U.S. soil since 9-11. The Iraq war is deeply unpopular, so was Vietnam and far more Americans and civilians died in Vietnam, same goes for the Korean war. So arguably Iraq as bad as it is doesn't "do it" The only military issue, imho, is Iran. That's the only country, imho, that may tip GW's hand towards the use of tactical nukes. But a Democratic President ordered the dropping nukes onto two Japanese cities, and the devastating conventional bombing of Tokyo causing massive loss of life among the civilian population.

No serious attacks on US soil before 9-11. Invades wrong country as a result.
Economy - what is the debt?

Generating a lot of national debt does not put a President in "The Worst President in History", and anyway, it is Congress that has "spending power", not the President. The President doesn't write the checks, that's the job of Congress.
I ask again, what has GW Bush done that places him categorically in the category of "The Worst President in History". I want to know.

Of course he's a w*nker - he's a politician ffs, and an american one at that, but I sometimes wonder who people are going to blame for all the world's ills when he steps down - we'll be back to Maggie then probably.
