Right, we made this and had it for lunch on a hot day the other weekend. I could see it in a punchbowl if you were entertaining.

1/2 cup buttermilk
1 T. honey
1 pint lemon sorbet
1 pint whole bean vanilla or similar "real Mccoy" vanilla ice cream.

Let the sorbet and the vanilla ice cream get all soft around the edges

Run the buttermilk and honey together in the blender. Then add the lemon sorbet. Mix it up. Then add the vanilla and let 'er rip. You can use your pulse control on blender if you have one too.

It was good, :)

No, it's my mind ( I'm right brained), it jumps about, :o and reading this thread with Jus with her ice cream comment reminded me of this. I saw the recipe in the paper and turned right around and made it.

Now I asked native Georgians this-WHY do we have more ice cream places in New England than we have in Georgia?? That makes no sense. That's another thought for me to think.

I'm not a native Georgian (just married to one), but I would say it's down to people in the South not having sweet-tooths like those in the North. I think you see that in quite a lot of foods where Rebels will add salt, Yankees will add sugar. My understanding of this is that during the Civil War there was a shortage of sugar in the South and salt in the North, not sure if this is true or not, but I remember reading it somewhere.
