I have extremely high standards. FFS, even in South Africa most of these places would be closed down as no one would go near them.

I am talking 20 to 30 bucks an entree type places. I can't believe how unclean they are compared to the equivalent in most countries I've lived in. Silverware unpolished, linen not quite up to standard, glassware not polished. Just the little things which grate me.

$5.95 in Denny's is high class to me ....

Here in Savannah they publish the results of the restaurant inspections in the newspaper.

It isn't only the actual cleanliness of the kitchens. More the overall presentation which leaves much to be desired.
