The Game (TV Mini-Series 2014) - IMDb The Game, on the Beeb. Anyone catch it?

Also, Inspector George Gently, that's back for a new series...

I just laughed and cried my way through 'The C word' - BBC1.
One-off drama. A story of life, love and cancer based on Lisa Lynch's candid book and blog about her experiences.
The brilliant Sheridan Smith played the part of Lisa Lynch.
Box of tissues required!

Anyone catching "Safe House"? A 4 episode show about a chap running a safe house for the cops. Only just started watching it, but a bit slow off the bat but quite good.

"The Delivery Man", bit cheesy of a comedy, but kind of liking this sit com, about a former cop who becomes a mid wife.

Been enjoying The Game - if you liked the recent Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy movie you'll probably like it.

Jonathan Strange and Mister Norrell starts tomorrow.

Anyone else watch the 'Storyville' documentary strand on BBC4?
BBC Four - Storyville - Episode guide

IMO it's probably the best thing on TV.
Arabian Motorcycle Adventures, Mugabe and the Democrats, 1.7 Billion Dollar Fraud have all been recent crackers.

Ooh I see one is "Searching for Sugarman" - that's excellent.

Finally watching this now and enjoying it. Only a couple episodes in, but a little slow to start but reminded us of Tinker Tailor, in style.

Watched it at the weekend. I hadn't realized it wasn't new...I'd already downloaded the entire series a while ago.

It was OK...nothing special IMO.

Storyville is not a traditional series of programming, it is more a wrapper title, like the US 'Masterpiece' series. Most of its content has had commercial theater releases in the US. It is a reflection of how spoilt we are/were in the UK for TV documentaries.

Home Fires

Anyone watching that? ITV WW2 drama, well it starts just before the war kicks off and is a few episodes in, but we've only just started watching it and really enjoyed it.

A who is who of Brit tele, with so many recognisable faces and names.
