11th Hour....the remake, I thought it was pretty well done, Rufus was even better than Patrick Stewart in the original...worth a punt that.

Merling, NBC have picked it up to start next month, but it's on at the moment in blighty....it's very cheesy, style between Dr Who and Robinhood I'd say, so if you liked either you might like it. Worth a punt anyway. It follows Arthur, Merlin and company when they are still growing up and learning about the way things work as it were.

This week I have been mostly watching the fantastic Jeremy Brett as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock homes on DVD. Half way through every episode (as I have all the episodes ever made in one collection) as it still beats most US tv.

I'm hoping the exchange rate gets good enough for me to be able to order some stuff from amazon.co.uk again. I've have shows like Ashes To Ashes, The Mighty Boosh, Gavin & Stacey, and Lark Rise To Candleford, on my wishlist for bloody ages, and haven't been able to buy them.

Not on tele yet, but seeing the trailers and adverts, looks great - Dead Set

It's a zombie horror piss take of Big Brother on channel 4, shown over 5 days, the contestants don't realise the country is being taken over by zombies until eviction night, has previous contestants in cameo roles as well as Davina.

Charlie Brooker wrote it and the bloke who directed Secret Diary of a Call Girl did this...looks great, dark twisted comedy, almost

We mainly watch TV that has been downloaded from thebox.bz. It is quite funny because a lot of it was on when we were in the UK but we were too busy watching Law and Order, ER, CSI etc!
More up to date stuff:
The X factor, love it.
Jonathon Ross,
Natural Born Sellers, this is hilarious if you have ever worked in sales.
Dragon's Den, find it fascinating. Harry Enfield does a p!$$ take of it, quite funny.
Merlin,
Wire in the Blood although it seems to be quite gruesome now.

Watched US "Life on Mars" last week. I wish they hadn't stuck to the UK one in terms of characters' names etc, it is watchable but the jury is out for me. I think part of the appeal of the UK version for me was the nostalgia which, hopefully the Americans will get, so perhaps it is unfair to judge. Once in a while the US can take a UK series and improve it, The Office, springs to mind.

I swear I must be the only person who think the US version of The Office, isn't a patch on the original. And I say that as someone who can't bloody stand Ricky Gervais.

See I think everyone else made the UK Office funny in their reactions to Ricky Gervais' character. In The Office Ricky Gervais wasn't acting, he was just being himself.

I enjoy both, but they are very different. The US one is far more comedy...the UK one just makes you cringe because David Brent makes himself cringe. He realises what a twat he is sometimes and hates it. Whereas the US one, he has no idea what a knob he is, and it's played more for straight out comedy effect. But like I said I enjoy them both.

Just a little moan here:

Is it just me or do some adverts seem to be louder than others...

I can be watching TV at a decent level then all of a sudden some guy with a beard is screaming at me about a power tool and how I must CALL NOW!!

:curse:
