Has anyone seen My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding? For some reason, I am dying to see this show. I have basic cable only and it's not available for streaming anywhere yet.

I'm watching the show House wind itself up.

And it's weird because this season House has been wrong about EVERYTHING. Episode after episode he either fluffs on the diagnosis at the end or doesn't even try because someone else figured it out. And next week we're supposed to believe that he kills Wilson.

Pretty weak season so far.

Veep

I was expecting the 'Thick of It' in America, but it seems watered down and ended up feeling like it was In The Loop, meets Parks and Recreation. Just nothing biting about this first episode.

I got bored with it about halfway through the second season of same-old, same-old.

I can't figure out why I like it due that very thing. Every episode is the same plot - but the dialogue and silliness was entertaining enough. Thankfully as silly as it got they never went the "it might be ghosts!" wankery that a lot of similar shows go that I can't stand. But if it wasn't Hugh Laurie I think I'd probably not have watched it. It waas great a few seasons back and was decent last season. This year has been very flat though.

A friend told me to watch Bones for the same reason and it's awful. Particularly as the main character seems to be okayish at her job. It reminded me of that crap show Medium in which the main actress spent the entire first two episodes being a very bad medium.

Is it just me who finds the woman on Bones to be oddly attractive? Objectively, she is only a bit above average, but she has eyes that seem to pierce through me.

It's NOT just you!

(although her sister, Zooey may just be hotter, even if she IS a vegetarian! )

ETA: A quick look at Google images reveals that Zooey is definitely hotter than Emily!

Game of Thrones

I am all for sex and violence in my movies and TV, but every now and then there are scenes that I find uncomfortable to watch, this weeks Game of Thrones was no "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer", but I did find a scene or two hard to watch; I think sexual violence is always more disturbing than your common head chopping. (I do not necessarily equate hard and uncomfortable to watch with bad, Henry was horrible to watch, and that is why it is such an amazing film)

Just curious if anyone else found Sundays episode a little hard to watch. I am not sure that it was needed, it has been established what Joffrey is.

I'm probably in a minority of one here, but I find Zooey Deschanel more than a little annoying and a bit creepy too. Emily just has a grating voice.

Yes, but I found out that their mother played Annie Glenn in The Right Stuff. Her eyes not so piercing as her daughters' are.

Bones I do like- the ensemble, "geekiness" can be endearing or in the case of the one intern, just a wee bit strange- Mr Fisher. Zack, bless 'im, even more socially awkward than Bones is.

I'm not sure how the show will contine with Bones and Booth now together with a baby. I AM pleased that Bones' figure has not popped back to perfection after having her baby, somewhat more realistic than these stars who regained their size 2 or 0 or whatever frames in 10 days after giving birth.
