I bought several pairs of socks here in the US in the past year.
ALL of them have holes in.
I'm doing nothing different in how I ware, what I ware, or how I care for my tootsies.
So, conclusion is I bought cr@p.
Any suggestions for where I can get M&S quality at M&S prices?
Other than M&S - Mrs HTS is headed back to the UK tomorrow, so that is taken care of in the short term...

I've been through a lot of socks, cheap socks, and finally found good socks courtesy of Duluth Trading.

I would probably agree with that.
Inspired things like this which may or may not be a good thing

We buy bamboo socks from The Walking Company. We try to get them when they are on sale for 50% off. Bamboo is naturally anti-microbial and wicks moisture away from the tootsies (don't I sound like a bloody commercial!).
And our feet don't seem to smell as bad (nor do our shoes) after we started wearing these. We use top loader washing machines as well, and they seem to hold up pretty good. I've had some pairs for well over a year, with no holes and no stretching out.
