My mother-in-law got me 2 packs of white Nautica socks from TJ Maxx and they are amazing. So comfortable, even after a billion washes (approx). Not expensive either!!!

We buy bamboo socks from The Walking Company. We try to get them when they are on sale for 50% off. Bamboo is naturally anti-microbial and wicks moisture away from the tootsies (don't I sound like a bloody commercial!). And our feet don't seem to smell as bad (nor do our shoes) after we started wearing these. We use top loader washing machines as well, and they seem to hold up pretty good. I've had some pairs for well over a year, with no holes and no stretching out.

But this issue doesn't signify on the interwebs, which is why I participate.
