We let it lapse because we had no desire to have it, free or otherwise! For me, it seems that the only time I get to listen to the music that I want to hear is in the car, so I much prefer to load the CDs or files I want rather than to be stuck with someone else's choice.

Each channel is pretty limited (I get the same damn songs often in my morning and afternoon commutes) but at least I can choose. Plus I have Sirius XM traffic integrated in the GPS and just saved me 20 minutes of stop-and-go on the 805.My initial one-year term is coming up, should give them a call and threaten to cancel to get a better deal. This year was pretty decent but the regular price is over $200 I think for radio and traffic which is pretty steep...

I don't imagine audio takes up much data - wouldn't it be cheaper/ more flexible to use a streaming music service through a phone, assuming a commute in an urban area?
