We are now thinking about what vehicle to arrange via IA ourselves. Family of 4, two adults, two teenagers. We don't need a pickup type vehicle or a 4WD as we will be moving our Land Rover 101FC x2 with us. Considering something like the Ford Edge. Commute will be less than 10 miles in central PA.

A pooey one, same vintage of our green one.

If it was a year older, could undo the console panel, pop a plug and then pull out the sensor reader to disconnect it from the computer and jobs done. But in our year, they moved it and only way to stop the system from trying to get a reading is a dealer only tech2 plugged in...which doesn't happen.

Found aftermarket sensors for less, but once you add cost of taking the wheels off and re-mounting the tyres the saving is a cost of a burger :/

Anyway, saw two E-Type jags on a trailer today which was nice

That's not fair!

They look absolutely gorgeous, especially out on a country road. Once the steam has cleared.

Still the best looking car ever made in the history of all cars in the universe ever.

As a new BE forum member I’m catching up on this thread. So back to the beginning, MGB GTs

Growing up in Harrow, the neighbor across the street had 3-4 of these. Lovely little cars. Only one was ever running, the others were parts cars and he was always tinkering. Didnt know it then but turns out thats pretty typical eh. The British car industry ah god bless it. Brings back lots of memories I’d not thought of in ages. A V8 in that little bugger must be a load of fun.

The Anglia was my mums first car. My goodness what a pile. Got us all over France for our holidays though. With three kids in the back.

The car I always wanted back in the 80s growing up in London was either an Escort RS2000 rally car or a Capri. Thought they were the dogs you know whats. My dad worked at a Ford dealership for years and he would always bring home the new year model book/pamphlet on the Ford cars. Loved it. The twin headlights on the Capri were so…racy. Then I saw an episode of Wheeler Dealers recently where he finds a Capri and just looks so square and boxy and plain and not at all racy.

Still would like an old RS2000 though

Great thread, I got 100 more pages to catch up on

Of course the Capri was just Ford UK's reworking of the then-new Mustang in the US. The '93-'04 Mustang was derivative of the DB7 and XK8, which had remarkably different engines, .... and price tags. Only a pedant would say that they were not all equally, er, .... refined in their design!
