Explain to the person at the door that you want to join. You then go to customer services to get your photo ID card and pay for membership.

Sweet!
There are people who schedule a trip for meal time, counting on those samples.
I think they are the devil and they make you buy more. Eat with caution!

Why Become A Costco Member?

At the entry, there is a Membership Desk just inside, you'll be able to see it. Just tell the door ID checker that you're there to join.

For the newbies, Costco also has an excellent reputation as an employer. It's nice to see a company that actually has a lot of GOOD going for it these days.

Sam's Club is Walmart's answer to the idea.

Oatmeal. Giant boxes of oatmeal, that's the other thing we get there.
Cigs are cheeper too, if you swing that way.

Very good for store/business supplies too. And copy paper. By the box. MUCH cheaper if you go through a lot and can't steal it from work.

I miss costco, closest one now is 30 miles away, but there isn't anyway to get there unless one has a car.

I'd be happy if we could get a full size Wal-Mart.

Another great experience yesterday. Having spent the better part of the day tracking down some fancy 5.1 AV speakers, I ordered online from a company in Montanna. Anyway walked into local Costco for something else and saw they had the very same speakers and less shipping, they were $100 cheaper and I didnt have to wait a week. Result. I was assured by the very friendly sales clerk, that if I couldnt cancel the online order before despatch, they would gladly and without question, take them back. I would probably sell them on ebay first because I have seen the same speakers being sold for some $200 more online, they are that much in demand.

I love you Costco.

lol at the caskets... I just don't have anywhere to store them! (and am going up in flames anyway)

If you ever get a chance, a Costco hotdog is one of life's amazing mysteries.
And those chicken wrap things are mmmmmm

There's a good reason I only go there once every other month or so!

I have only been in Cosco a couple of times, when my sister was here with her membership card. We have a Sams club membership. They have a snack area at the check out... their pizza is good.
