Here's another definitive statement. Recent studies have shown that Persil does wash whiter than Daz

What about OMO????

Back in the '60's it was said that certain ladies having affairs would place a box of OMO on the windowsill so if their bit on the side walked by he would know she was home alone.

It had to be OMO..... (Old Man Out)

True story apparantly

You know what, maybe these are the good old days and when we're all sitting in a nursing home smelling faintly of Werther's Original and piss, we can look back on the heady days of 2017 on another fascinating discussion about feckin' washing machines.

The good old days are a dumb idea anyway. The people who bang on about them were, in the main, living through a war or hefty restrictions after a war, **** all good about them. Whoever invented rose tinted glasses should be strung up.

Most of us (as a guess) are in early-late middle age on here with a few outliers in their early-30s or younger and a few older members. We are all literally in the good old days right now, from our own perspectives.

Andy Bernard had it right...

You leave the 70s alone.

Admittedly, the good old days were probably less of a draw in Aus.

There are stages of good old days. I'll look back wistfully on the 'good old days' of the 80s and 90s because that's when I was a kid and didn't have to work or pay bills.

But 30 years (and I still refuse to believe the 90s were more than 15 years ago, laws of time and space be damned) from now I'll almost certainly see these as another set of 'good old days' because I am in reasonably good health, reasonably financially solvent and my daughter doesn't hate me yet

By then we will have ground you down and made you care about what kind of washing machine you have.

I care about having a working one and there it ends.

Now, back to my 'jumpers for goalposts' reminiscence about Ceefax AM and Mr Kipling's Battenberg Treats

Except when he randomly stops making really good ones for no apparent reason. But yes, he does indeed still make exceedingly good other ones.

I find it hard to believe that a time when they made cars like these could ever be considered to be "the good old days".

Beautiful.

I assume you don't like the shape? I know you like the rear axle.
