Fake news: He actually challenged Usain Bolt to a race, but Bolt declined as he's a sad loser with a yuuuuuuuuge fear of losing to the Donald.
Stopped off in my local gun store yesterday. Tons of people queuing up to buy a fresh shipment of bump stocks before they get banned. Madness.

They have a deli-style ticketing system now. Grab a ticket and wait for your number.

David Hogg kid is refusing to return to school until "a gun law is passed". Okay.
Do you guys want to live in a society where complex legislative and policy issues are dictated by 16 year olds who two weeks ago were eating Tide Pods?

Well the grown ups aren't exactly doing a stellar job, are they. Not sure I would notice the difference.

Arming teachers is a stupid idea, end of story.
David Hogg, IMO is an incredibly articulate young adult who presents himself in a much better light than a great deal of actual adults I know and to lump him in with the memelords does him a disservice. To answer your question - I'd be quite happy to live in a society where such decisions are carried out by people with the kind of head on their shoulders that he has. As it is, in the next 20-30 years, we'll be there anyway, you can't exactly stop the passage of time, might as well make the best of it.

Yeah, I'm with dakota here, WGAF? That's lovely that she has a permit - doesn't mean a) she actually knows how to use it and b) guns have any business being anywhere near a school if they're not strapped to the belt of the SRO.

Tide Pods were a (really terrible) meme, and a very small number of stupid people actually fell for it and tried to eat them. It's not like this was a regular occurrence by any means and you're pretty far out of touch to even bring it up in jest.

Re: Florida shooting
Law enforcement strongly disagrees with arming teachers for a number of reasons...not the least of which is that in active shooter situations the policy is if you see someone with a gun...shoot them. Period.

Yes, or someone else told him what to say. Because teenagers never think about important issues or have any ideas of their own about society...

IT'S THE US FFS, NOT BLOODY SYRIA.
How is it even possible that this is being touted as a "solution"?

Would have been fun seeing my high school social studies teacher, Miss Hoogenboom, packin' heat as an armed paramilitary. Hoogie loved ramming that big ruler over the desk to restore classroom order. Imagine what she could have done armed with an assault rifle.
Trump is strangely childlike and lacks any semblance of self-awareness. He exposes himself to mockery by making these statements and doesn't seem to realize it. He comes off as a bit old, sad and clueless.
