Default Christmas Pudding

I know it's a bit premature to be talking about Christmas but I would like to know where you all buy your Christmas Puddings from (sourced from within the US, please!) as I have never made one from scratch before and I want to surprise my husband this year. Any good websites?

Any help would be appreciated! Many thanks!!!!!

made mine from scratch using the Delia Smith recipe. Had a bit of trouble getting some ingredients (barley wine - just used stout instead, had to look up the spice she wanted online and make my own mix of it, and suet - had to ask a butchers dept) but it came out great! The other difficult part was getting a steaming bowl - as they dont have anything specific like that here. Used a pyrex bowl in the end - but bought some plastic lidded pudding basins when i was back in the UK last time ready for this year (as well as the missing soice lol).

We did from scratch too - luckily my mate is a butcher so sorted me some suet out.

Otherwise, try the uk online grocers, I know some friends of ours ordered from The English Pork Pie Company earlier this year and were suitably impressed! So impressed they never saved me anything

We've ordered from Goodwoods, Camerons (well visited not ordered, it's up the road) with decent enough results.

When I lived in Michigan I could find them in K Mart and Meijers...have to look hard...not in the usual places. If you're near the CA border you could hop over and get one there.
