It has feet not flippers. I can't help it that Americans don't know the difference between a turtle and a tortoise.

yep. like I said earlier...

little story; 7yr old daughter at french school has horrid teacher. One day horrid teacher embarrasses my daughter in front of class because she can't do a math problem. On the way back to daughter's seat, horrid teacher says "apparently the english can't do maths" When I find the cow has said this, we decide to make an official complaint. Which goes nowhere btw. Whole class is aghast at what teacher said to blonde haired blue eyed girl. Turns out she regularly also says "the muslims can't do....whatever" to little boy but nobody says a word, nobody is aghast and his mum tells me she's used to it.

Someone needs to explain to her the most of the contributions to higher mathematics were by Muslims.

no, someone needs to explain to the whole bloody lot (teacher and class) that you do not ever make racist comments like this to anyone. Telling a child that they can't do something due to their colour, religion, race or sex is illegal.

The teacher "apologised" to my daughter the following day ( she could see that I was taking it very seriously) she said that it had been a joke and my daughter hadn't understood that.

this was one of those pivotal moments when I realised that I could not live in France anymore. I won't even go into the racist discrimination I saw in the dental world.
