Default Bacon

So, I've seen lots of posts from folks looking for decent bacon - I was searching the net myself when I came accross this

http://www.gratefulpalate.com/index.php?p=Page_24

It doen't look like *british* bacon, but this guy certainly seems keen on good ol' American bacon - possibly to an extreme degree...... .....bacon of the month club, bacon jewellery etc

Hey, different storkes and all that?!

I'm not a fan of American bacon, but... we bought a pig from a local organic farm with some friends back in September. The bacon from that pig is actually the best I have ever tasted (actually all the cuts we've eaten so far have been better than any other I've ever had).

The bacon chocolate is actually pretty good....am intrigued by the bacon of the month clubs, but there are loads of them and they aren't cheap...

You can get bacon like that at any Price Chopper. English / Irish bacon is available in a lot of NYC shops.

I didn't have to do the killing, but I do think that if I couldn't do it myself then it would be hard to justify eating meat. I'd do it if I had to.

I actually didn't even get to meet the pig, which was a shame. It's bloody tasty.

It must not be regular Tesco bacon because that's absolutely abysmal.

I get mine from the butcher in Bruntsfield here in Edinburgh. Free range Scottish pigs. Mmmm, tasty stuff.
