It's tempting, Sultan, but I think the prudent thing to do is be as pious and ascetic as you can be for the next few days.
If we're all getting judged, and Heaven has limited seating, a few fewer sins on your scorecard could squeak out someone else. Something to think about.

May 21st 2011 is by coincidence the 10th Anniversary of my moving to the US so I wouldn't be at all surprised if something big went on. Personally i'm hoping it doesn't rain so I can take my newly resprayed bike out to the bike blessing.

That is brilliant. The only issue I find fault with is that everyone knows all dogs will go to Heaven. It's just a given. Not cats. Evil little bastards.

Bugger. That's really going to mess up my daughter's 13th birthday. Mind you, with 10 tweens 'sleeping' over, I might welcome death as an opportunity for a nice rest
The really weird thing is that my son's 18th birthday is on December 21st 2012, which is when the world is going to end...or something. Have I spawned devil children (or angel children?) without realising?

It's one of my son's birthday on Saturday, he'll be 8. Apart from celebrating his birthday we have an all day soccer fun day event to go to, so I'm a bit too busy for The Rapture. We did have a flyer through the door today about the world ending on May 21st, why etc, but haven't had a chance to read it yet

I'm willing to accept bets of up to $1m, and will give good odds as well, that the world won't end on 5/21/11 or 12/21/12. Would you believe that so far I've had no takers

We've told our son (the one that's going to be 18 on the big bang day) that if it will make his birthday less of a downer, we'll get him a Ferrari for his 18th, so he can go out with a smile on his face.
We also told him that we'll be hedging our bets and ordering it in his name
He knows we're bullsh*t merchants, so just gives us the rollyeyes and a "What-evvv-ahhh!"
