Apocalypse Plans?
 

Just wondered if anyone had anything special planned for this Saturday?
We were meant to be going to see U2 (not my choice, but the ticket was free).

But apparently it all goes down this Saturday, starting in Japan. 7,000 years ago, it was a flood. This time it will be by fire apparently.

We have the billboards here in Denver, plus I've seen those vans around town, and in Chicago.

I guess I'm pretty much farked. Are you any of you righteous enough to be raptured?

Oh yes there are some billboards around here, but I have to admit I had failed to mark my calendar for this important event.

I debated about going to U2 but line up doesn't look all that good; their last album sucked imo.

I heard about that guy spending 140G's... can't believe someone would but not too surprised ... Forrest Gump sums it well - 'stupid is as stupid does'....

They were advertising for ages on the bill boards around here...then ran out of money so the boards are now advertising Shell petrol, though amusingly enough they were advertising BJ's Wholesellers before hand :lol:

That looks, uh, flammable...

So, I am torn in some respects. On the one hand, I don't want to suffer a fiery and abrupt end - indeed, I have so much yet to see and do - but then if it doesn't happen, I'll feel really bad for the people who gave up all their possessions/life savings etc.

Does anyone know what time this is all going to go down? By the time it is the 21st here at GMT -6, it will already have been the 21st elsewhere in the world :confused:. I suppose since Harold Camping is a Yank, it'll probably be at 12 (11 central).

I think I'll just stay in Friday night and have a wank.

It's tempting, Sultan, but I think the prudent thing to do is be as pious and ascetic as you can be for the next few days.

If we're all getting judged, and Heaven has limited seating, a few fewer sins on your scorecard could squeak out someone else. Something to think about.
