Yes, that was her! A few months ago she also reported having the heat on downstairs while the AC was on upstairs.

Mrs P and I aim for a "positive difference" between summer and winter thermostat settings of about 14°F +/-..... winter low 60's, summer upper 70's. This manages to keep our gas and electric bills to an aggregate average of about $150, with winter and summer peaks of about $200-$220. With mild weather in the spring and autumn we usually get 2-3 months (sometimes split across billing periods) of neither heating nor cooling and aggregate gas and electric bills of about $60. For a 2,800 sqft house we consider this to be pretty good. :)

I think the heat may have clicked on last night, I had it set to 60°F, so it got a bit chilly inside, nothing that a t-shirt under a sweater wouldn't solve.

The other half was complaining this morning, so I told her to get baking, let the oven warm the house. Lo and behold, banana walnut loaf is on it's way.

60's is a bit chilly. Do they make onesies for 6 and a half foot tall people?

I've got a rather dashing blue and white striped fleece one. It's a good job it doesn't have feet in it though as I don't think it'd fit if it did.

[Union Jack onesie]

Couldn't Burton at least have specified a red zip? :frown:

These are more de rigueur in my neck of the woods, though I have always discounted buying any because I don't have time for home distilling, keeping goats or playing the banjo.

Pretty amazing to be sat here in Phoenix with it being Sunny and in the 70s. And if i wanted snow all i have to do is drive two hours north and up 7000ft to Flagstaff and the Arizona snowbowl if i wanted to go ski-ing.

Yep! I went outside for lunch today in a 3/4 sleeve, cotton shirt and jeans. Stepped outside and it was a bit nippy. It's about 69 degrees.

I'd rather sit in a freezing tundra anyday, than sit in a crap-hole like Los Angeles.
