I was working in Tahoe today and I thought I was going to freeze on the spot when I got out of the car, and it's worse elsewhere no idea how you guys handle it......I remember when I lived in Canada I would walk out the back door and into the front in that short space of time the hairs in my nose would freeze lol

Re: Anyone experiencing the extreme cold?
Wind chill is the big factor here in GA. supposed to be like -8C tomorrow
|
Re: Anyone experiencing the extreme cold?
I am. With the wind chill it was -38F here today. Daughter and I did experiments outside with boiling water, hot soapy bubbles and balloons.
It was great. |
Re: Anyone experiencing the extreme cold?
-20f here this morning when I drove to work. I think around -45f with the windchill. The high is -2f tomorrow, so it'll feel like a heatwave after today
It's good and dry at least. This morning was probably one of the better commutes I've had since the start of December. |

With temperatures that low, I can't even imagine how cold houses must seem?

Bully for you, the temperature is dropping like a rock here. :( ... It's forecast to be down around 10°F by 6am +/- 1hr tomorrow. No doubt Sultan will be along shortly to tell me that I have nothing to complain about.
As a species, we're a bunch of pussies sometimes, aren't we?

Re: Anyone experiencing the extreme cold?
I am in one the warmest places in Canada, could very well be the warmest.
Its currently +37F and should be a high of around 45F or so. Southern Coastal BC best place to be in Canada in winter. |
