Re: Anyone experiencing the extreme cold?
Temps dropped like a stone yesterday from 57 degrees in the afternoon to a cool 27 degrees at 8 p.m. When I started up the car this morning, it was 7 degrees with a minus 14 with the chill factor and this was New York City.
Hubby in Mississippi was 17 degrees at 7:30 this morning. |

Was it you that posted a while back about warming it to a higher temp in winter than you cool it to in Summer? Still don't get that.....if it was 80 inside in winter I'd be wanting to open windows and doors:lol:

Our thermostat is usually set around 62°-63°. We bump it up a little sometimes in the evening, but when we're out at work, or asleep, the timer-thermostat is set to 55°. The timer is set to bring it back to 62° before we wake up/ get home. |

That doesn't make sense. If he were a reptile, he'd have the thermostat up like yours, reptiles are cold blooded.

Exactly the same swings here in CT -- a little while ago the thermometer went up to 8F, then a few minutes later said "I don't think so" and went back down to 7!

Bet your creek is frozen solid though. I'm going to ramble over to the Bronx River Reserve this weekend (balmy 40 or so degrees by then) to see if the falls have frozen over.
