Is America the greatest country in the world?

My reply stays the same. What is great here may not be so great in the UK. What is great in the UK may not be so great here (and that could apply to any other country). Neither country is better than the other and I could live very happily in either.

No.
It's much of muchness, whatever is important to you that'll make something better.
What is isn't, is the worst place in the world to live in...saying that, some parts might make you think twice

Re: Is America the greatest country in the world?
I met this American guy in a pub in Broughton Street in Edinburgh a wee while back and he told me and my mates quite volubly that the United States of America really IS the greatest country in the world in all ways. Neither I nor my mates had ever been to America ourselves so who were we to contradict him? But he did think our beer and whisky was much better than it is over there - he drank plenty of both to prove it too.

Anyone who invents liquid cheese is great in my book.
