Inquiring minds need to know.
Would the availability of decent bacon make a difference to the greatness of this wonderful country...?
... it would, wouldn't it.

A decent scrap of bacon will get us all through anything. Calms the nerves...Add to it sausage, tomato, fried egg, toast and beans - then I don't care what country I'm in, it's the Greatest.

LoL I'd have to agree, forget the cholesterol warning, just give me the fry-up and I'll agree to anything... greatest, worst, whatever, I won't care what you want me to say.

And don't forget to check out Italian pancetta - I don't know what they do to it, but it's a great variation on bacon. In fact, I'm ready to say Italy is the greatest country in the world, simply because they have all those tasty morsels ... pepperoni, salami, mortadella, head cheese ... yummmmm .....

It may be true that the only really civilised countries are those originally run by the Romans, but in this day and age the availability of an adequate filling for a good bacon buttie (with tea) is what really counts.

Britain
Canada
Australia
New Zealand
Possibly Denmark.

As you all know, I'm not one for religions in general, and all religions have their faults, but ... I have a hard time taking those religions serious that have a ban against pork !!!!! It's the 'does this religion make me suffer needlessly?' test ...
