It's a shame you didn't just stick with 'disability'. Why introduce 'just plain lazy'? I will happily see my taxes go to anyone with a disability ... but not to someone who is 'just plain lazy'. There's an interesting debate, I guess, to be had regarding what 'should' happen to lazy people, but I don't think they deserve the same treatment as disabled.
These crackpot liberals, that decide to go and do a 'media' or 'liberal arts' degree, get themselves into debt and then miraculously can't find a job - and then blame it on everyone else are the people I'm referring to. |

Really? I’d take Trump/any Republican nominee over crackpot radical socialists.
If you have kids, you should offer one of your children $10 to clean your house. Give the child that didn’t help $7, and the child that cleaned $3. Basically how the economy will go if any of those morons get elected. |

That particular poster is unable to post without adding insults against people who disagree with him. Seems like a sure sign of an inability to argue rationally.

Re: 2020 Election
It took a little longer than I thought, but Biden is finally tanking in the polls. I was a little worried that Democrats would really be so stunningly stupid to give Trump a second term by nominating Biden. But it looks like they have seen the light. The fact that it has been aided by Biden's failson trading off the family name finally being called out is nice.
I see Liz has finally seen sense and promised not to take big money in the general. She will still be a disappointing President unless she develops the courage to call out the corruption in her own party and steals the other parts of Bernie's political revolution message and actually means it. |
Re: 2020 Election
At the moment I can't see voting for anyone of them, from either party.
Trump, with that tweet at Turkey demonstrated he is mentally unstable, apart from all the other actions which disqualify him. I look for someone who could serve 2 terms without the risk of dying or going senile. That lets out Biden, Sanders and maybe Warren, who is too progressive anyway. None of the others have as yet made a decent impression. Short of someone rising from the ashes, I shall abstain from voting for a president if nothing changes. |

Exactly my point - I have no issues with my money going to those who have a genuine need for it. Veterans, people with disabilities etc. But johnwoo likes to jump to conclusions, like most libtards.

Plenty of younger candidates such as Buttigieg, Klobuchar and Booker. Other than the fact they haven't made a mark in the polls, why do you dismiss them?

I don't dismiss them. However unless they up their game and come to the fore, they are not going to be in the final reckoning. The choice that will be offered will be Trump or one of the three democratic front runners.
I'm in Mayor Pete's camp. Is he perfect? No. But he's pretty compelling. |

i suppose you are aware, ‘liberal arts’ includes economics, chemistry, physics, biosciences (etc.) Maybe ‘liberal arts’ is not exactly what you meant in that imprecise diatribe? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libera...n#Modern_usage What an utterly misleading term! |

I certainly was not aware, so thanks for the education! I always assumed "liberal arts' was essentially the opposite of STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Maths)

Only in terms of the current usage of the word liberal. As that link points out, it derives from the Latin term " liberalia studia".
