At this point it doesn't matter to me personally if it's 270 or 290. The mandate is gone, he won't have one, the senate is likely gone with Collins getting reelected, so it's more McConnell gridlock.
All that matters is removing Trump and his rhetoric, and 270 will do that. Trump's going to cry foul even if it was 300+ against him so we may as well gird our loins for the inevitable misery. |
Re: 2020 Election
Only a minor victory in the scheme of things, but AZ looks set to flip the state senate AND house, in addition to flipping for the president (Biden) and US senate (and possibly US House). This will truly represent a blue wave for AZ!
See, all you have to do is attract a bunch of Californians! I'm 99% sure the situation in AZ is due to CA residents moving there. |
Re: 2020 Election
Politico have called WI, and it looks like PA is finally adding numbers. 'only' 440k votes behind now. GA - about 80k votes behind.

Re: 2020 Election
Looks as though both Michigan and Wisconsin may well have the 1% margin that allows for a recount though.

Re: 2020 Election
A recount is not going to overturn 21k votes

Agree, but I doubt that will stop Trump from demanding one. And then he gets I think a couple of weeks to foment unrest.

If he does in fact lose, can we hold out hope for the most almighty flounce and refusal to do the job (and I use the term loosely) any more? |
