2020 Election

Re: 2020 Election
What's the latest flavor of 'free education' from Bernie? At first I thought it was 'free for everyone' but I just read this from 2017 - https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/10/bern...ica-great.html
I like the idea of limiting it based in income of parents. Is that still his proposal?
Also - just curious how this is supposed to work. As I understand it, this only applies to 'non-private' colleges (that is, won't apply to Stanford, Yale, etc) but aren't such colleges mainly 'state' institutions? Eg, University of California, Arizona State University, etc? I understood these to be under the control of the state. So would this require the cooperation of the state colleges? Are there no issues here with 'states rights' etc?
This year, Sanders introduced the College for All Act, which aims to make colleges and universities tuition-free for families that earn $125,000 per year or less. That, he notes, covers 86 percent of the population

The whole system is overloaded, which State will go bust first, Illinois seems to be considered the most likely. I have seen it mentioned that is is technically bust now. And when that happens there will be a cascade.
A always understood the idea was to try and rectify in the good times so you have some room for manoeuvre when you hot the bad, but that seems to have been done away with.
A massive dose of inflation to strip peoples savings has been the usual technique but that does not seem possible now.

Most of the Democrats running make we want to change the channel as soon as they start talking. The only two who don't affect me this way are Bernie and Paul Buttigieg. There is one who makes me want to shoot my own TV. Sorry.
No idea what that means but I doubt I'm the only one who feels this way. We can argue minutia and ideology all day but if they don't inspire confidence in their own leadership abilities, nothing else matters.

Huge increase in the wake of the Great Recession, but leveled off since:

You have to be a little strange to run for president, even under the best circumstances. Of course, some people run never expecting to win. They just need a job and attention for whatever tat they're trying to sell. Mike Huckabee did it for over a decade. Unfortunately, there is always the risk that one of them might accidentally win and end up being the worst president in the history of the country.

Our new neighbors had a party this Sunday. Little kias and beaten up Subarus. Bernie stickers everywhere.
I thought Bernie wasn't a Dem. How does that work?
My liberal friend is blowing up my phone with AOC photos and gifs. He thinks he's funny. Frankly - it's a welcome change from this vulgar Me Again Markle woman.

I'm sick of hearing about AOC. It's like she's the first Socialist ever.
Since when has one singular member of the House actually been able to accomplish anything anyway?
