Standing up against bigotry is a risk to GOP candidates, which says a lot about the party's populist base.

Talking of Carson. Seems he is another example of someone who holds the constitution so close to his heart that he can't read it properly.

For once I agree with you. Fiorina could help herself if she smiled occasionally. I appreciated Cruz' discussion regarding how to propose a candidate for the Supreme Court, but he has a rather off-putting high-pitched delivery. Perhaps a good legal mind, but he'll be staying in the Senate.
She's had botox around her mouth and eyes. This eliminates most of the micro expressions which are natural to human communication. John Kerry has done the same thing and I am not comfortable watching him in interviews anymore. It's like trying to communicate with somebody who is wearing a mask. |

That's rich coming from Graham and Christie. They both constantly stoke the Islamaphobia that's rife in the Republican party. Christie with the pro NSA surveillance position that he props up with 911, "They're all trying to kill us." Lindsey Graham spent the entire pre-debate/debate talking about how, if he's elected, he effectively plans to bomb the entire Muslim world off the face of the map. Let's don't forget that it was the birther issue that initially got Trump Republican attention (that he so desperately craves) and the majority of his followers firmly believe that Obama is a Muslim plant. There are some people who will never, ever, believe a black person can be anything but bad. They have been brainwashed, some from birth, and lack the intellectual capacity and decency of heart to ever change. Donald Trump tapped into that segment and subsequently became completely addicted to their slavish devotion to him and his message. Also, Mitt ****ing Romney went to Trump, hat in hand, for his endorsement just 4 short years ago ... at the very height of Trump's birther campaign. |

If you listen to some of Trump's supporters, we already have a Muslim President now. Of course there is no religious litmus test. So...if we elected a Keith Ellison (well, if Democratic voters, with their "first black," "first woman," "first gay" enthusiasms elected him) we'd have our first Muslim president - but then, who would we threaten with our nukes? |

I'm impressed that we can live in a country with 310 million people, and the GOP contenders for president include a failed CEO who is running on her track record, the brother of a failed president who is running on his brother's track record, a reality TV host, and a Canadian Hispanic who wants to deport Latino immigrants. It must be tough to find good help these days.
