I wonder how Trumps voters will feel when they discover he won't do anything promised.

Probably as disappointed as they are with the current government, or what was the alternative?

I am amazed Trump doing so well. If he doesn't get impeached maybe this best result in the long run- with control of Congress and Presidency, Republicans have a last chance to show whether they have the vision and ability to execute on that vision. if they fail, then maybe a candidate like Sanders can then present a different vision.

Come on D...neither of them are for you or I...they are only interested in lining their own pockets.

The US system is a hopelessly currupt and flawed system by first world standards...not to mention the billions of $ it costs. I get the impression that most people are sick to the back teeth of the whole process. Let's hope a change is on the way.

You apparently don't realise that impeachment means indictment by the House of Representatives and conviction by the Senate, which given that the Republicans appear to have retained control of both chambers means that impeachment is highly improbable.

A dreadful Hobsons Choice. That is for sure. Both corrupt as are most up there with a bucket of money in an ivory tower TBH. Both untruthful. Both from the same cauldron. Neither have to worry about health care, grocery shopping, a job, their savings.

But never mind that now. If the USA and by default much of the world have plumped for a CEO approach, in what way will this alter the USA political system or ultimately help the common man, both in the USA and without.

Can the electoral college system be got rid of so this does not happen again. A first past the post in a popular vote.

The problem is Trump identified the issues, but he's completely wrong or unrealistic on the solutions.
But it didn't matter what he said at the time as long as he got the ears to listen. He was after hooking in the disaffected in order to gain the power. He will hopefully now surround himself with advisors and policy makers to find real solutions for the 'promises' he made. I do hope he does & that he is mindful that there is a big wide world out there and we are all in it together.

It could be a really convoluted way for them to get Paul Ryan into the White House. Come up with some way to impeach Trump and Pence.

****, I'd welcome Ryan at the moment and that makes me sad.

Do the Republicans like Trump? The party and the powers to be in congress?

Problem is...he doesn't seem to take notice of his advisors.

Yes I realize, I just think Trump is really a loose cannon. Would he get establishment Republicans mad enough with him to impeach him ? I agree improbable, but I think possible.
