The United States is absolutely the greatest country in the world. Of course, I define "the world" as those nations other than Canada that participate in the World Series.

The World Series always brings a smile to my face. Of course I know it's origins....and it only involves the US and a tiny weeny bit of Canada.

Based on the last three elections? Bush second term and Obama's two terms? If you couldn't predict the outcomes of those you shouldn't be a political pundit.

Also, saying "defying the data trend of the last twelve years" sounds like a solid trend, but again it's three data points.

There are quite a few of these stories floating about of people who correctly picked the winners for the past X elections. In reality there have not really been any shockingly unpredictable results. Bush/Gore was close. There is also a selection bias, there are probably dozens of people who predicted all but one correct, more who predicted all but two. They seem to be suspiciously silent.

Just realized the rest of the article is just junk. The bit about banning the supercomputer? Umm, sales of the chips to China and Russia were banned. Wow.
