I agree, had a lot of fun down in the Mission on Cinco de Mayo. I see pictures of Mission district and it sure has changed compared to when I was there.

I am sure there are many inhabitants in Sweden that would like to understand how cultural diversity is a wonderful thing. I would think cultural diversity can be a positive or negative depending on the circumstances. I don't live in London but I assume there are many living there who appreciate the cultural diversity there.

America absorbed millions of immigrants leading up to tightening immigration on the mid 1920's, and the immigrants assimilated/integrated over the following decades. So the immigration worked. But if an Italian preferred being with Italians while a German preferred being with Germans, so what , just personal preference, but over time they lost many elements of their culture and all became American. That worked, the experiment in multi-culturalism some just don't think is working. Just because someone thinks cultural diversity is wonderful doesn't mean someone is racist or a bigot because they prefer their own culture.

Though I do agree I cringe every time I hear " its ok if they are legal" undercuts the whole argument about just wanting to prefer their own culture. So someone by being legal wants to integrate and someone illegal doesn't ?
