That makes more sense, but this suggests that it is just until after the election?

A Vote For Treason | Zero Hedge
Extract about Trump: A vote for Donald Trump is not a vote for the person at all, that is why despite the media onslaught of negative stories about him as a person carries no weight with those who support him, because they don't support him at all, they support what he represents, which is a chance to hold Hillary Clinton responsible for her crimes and therefore all of the crooked politicians of 2012 who coerced votes out of their Republican base only to turn on them the next day.
That is a great, short, explanation of why Trump's support is holding up so well. Most of those who vote for him just don't care whether the stories are true or not. Theirs is a protest vote, and that's all.
Extract about Hillary: a vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for a transformed America, a quasi-police state where the government intervenes in business and forces some out of business while subsidizing other businesses that could not possibly sustain themselves without massive graft and media brainwashing. All of those businesses would be held hostage to a criminal organization originating from the White House. It would be a vote to end forever the concept of individual rights. Hillary Clinton would do no less than continue the work of the Obama Administration to destroy individual rights and nearly half of the nation is in favor of just that.
A pretty serious judgment, and also a good short explanation of why her support is holding up so well. Most (many?) of those who vote for her don't care whether the stories about her and Bill are true or not.
Maybe this election really is about issues, after all.

I am not sure in area I am in whether either candidate instills much confidence in their approach to issues.
A local businessman I spoke to is having problems voting for either candidate. He says if he votes for Clinton he will get more taxes, regulations and increased cost; if he votes for Trump it is an unknown how Trump would effectively govern, and every Republican candidate for 20 years runs on less regulation yet in office don't deal with excessive regulation. So he may not vote because of the negatives of both candidates.
I wonder what voter turnout will be, whether many will simply stay home.
Fivethirtyeight has a(nother) interesting analytical piece on what's left in play for the Donald - written up as a transcript of the conversation between four of their senior bods. Essentially, as election day draws nearer, the polling gap becomes further entrenched into the likely outcome. Fewer voters are undecided; not much will provide significant movement until the get-out-the-vote effort on election day itself. The debate now in the Clinton camp is whether to reinforce their position in what would normally be considered the swing states or to go all-out for a landslide win by throwing resources at the likes of Az, Ga or even Tx and Mo.

Anybody watching the debate tonight?
Thank God this is the last one. If we had any more --- Donald Trump would have dig up Vince Foster and put the corpse in the audience.
