Huffpo?
Not exactly a reliable source, just look at their front page today. All anti Trump, now there is a lot of things to say about Trump but they could not find a tiny spot about Hillary? https://www.scribd.com/doc/316341058...form=hootsuite |

It would be a lot more believable without the dodgy photoshop and the word 'UFO' just creeping into view in the ticker.

Are you disputing the facts in the article? It appears to be properly sourced with copies of the federal law suit. Do you have any information disputing the truthfulness?

Re: 2016 Election
Trump has always shown a similarity in attitude compared to people like Ryan Lochte and Brock Turner. The sense of entitlement and dehumanisation of others (gender, nationality, disability) because they are successful, rich and powerful.
The thing that un-nerves me about Pussy-gate above and beyond that is the "you can do anything" statement. It is far too close to comfort to "I can get anything, me" from Savile. He was a weird, creepy older man with a bizarre blond hairdo that hid his terrible crimes in plain sight - by being a weird creepy older eccentric man with a shithot legal team that pounced on any hint of public revelation of his true nature. I don't honestly believe that Trump is hiding anything as sinister as Savile, but I've seen enough of his character to know he's not fit to be a US President. Throwing your political opponents in jail because you can? He hasn't got the faintest grasp of the US constitution. (I don't like Mrs Clinton either. Elizabeth Warren v John Huntsman would be much more edifying.) |

I would like to see more focus on somebody else stepping in, you would have thought that both parties have an interest in avoiding this catastrophe. |

I was responding to Wintersong's frustration that nobody is covering this story. You now say you won't believe it because you don't like Huffpo and nobody else is covering it yet. I'm sure you fail to see the irony. |

Did you see the link to the federal lawsuit? The one that verifies the Huffpo article?

Anyway, much as I dislike Mrs Clinton, I cannot deny she is qualified and has the temperament to be President. Her mistakes and mis-speaks and "scandals" are no worse than any other politician, and so with her in charge it will be business as usual - ie stability. In fact it will be business-as-usual establishment politics indefinitely until Citizens United is overturned. |

Re: 2016 Election
I only saw the debate because I was watching a show on PBS and it came on afterwards.
It started really quietly. Trump was clearly told not to be aggressive, but it was only ten minutes or so before he forgot all about that and was interrupting. Love the way he gets his lips close to the microphone when Hillary starts on a subject he wants to jump in on. His pacing around was just comical. Did Trump really say that he pays hundreds of millions in taxes, then five minutes later admit that he hasn't paid anything for years? I must have misheard how he represented those bits to not be contradictory, maybe "has paid". I was a bit torn by Trump arguing with the moderators. On the one hand, I think the moderators should leave that sort of this to the other candidate, but on the other hand I don't think Hillary was going to call him on that crap. All the stuff about Bill's sexual history (in response to a completely unrelated question) and even sticking that right alongside the child rapist she defended in court to make it sound like Bill was the rapist, and Hillary still hasn't brought up any of Trumps current accusations. Melania Trump turned up in a pussybow shirt (and no bra) - I have to admit that I spotted the latter well before the former was pointed out. I guess that's enough locker room banter for now. |
